At Alora Reusable Pads, we’ve never seen ourselves as just a menstrual product brand. From day one, our mission has gone beyond pads — we exist to make menstrual dignity a reality for every girl and woman in Nigeria, especially those society too often leaves behind.
Since our founding, we’ve produced and distributed over 20,000 eco-friendly, NAFDAC-approved reusable pads, reaching students, internally displaced persons, rural women, and underserved communities. But the real impact? It’s in the stories of restored confidence, girls staying in school, and communities beginning to talk about periods without shame.
We don’t stop at access. We drive education and behavior change through school-based sessions, teacher training, and culturally relevant menstrual literacy campaigns. Our reusable pads come with conversations — about hygiene, stigma, and rights — because we know changing products alone won’t change the world, but changing minds will.
And in 2025, we took things further. Alora Reusable Pads proudly co-convened Nigeria’s first-ever Menstrual Health and Hygiene Management (MHHM) Summit, alongside AWA Initiative and Wonder Woman Nigeria. This historic gathering brought together government ministries, UN agencies, civil society, and youth voices — all united to make menstrual health a national development priority.
Our founder, Sarah Kuponiyi, used the summit stage to champion product standardization, safe design, and the critical role of community education in increasing adoption of reusable options. She spoke not just as a social entrepreneur, but as a passionate advocate for menstrual equity and sustainability.
We believe menstrual health is not just a hygiene issue — it’s a human rights, gender equality, environmental, and economic issue. And we’re building solutions that touch all four.
So yes, we make pads. But really, we’re building a future where no girl has to choose between her period and her potential.
